Take a drive past the new Commonwealth Medical College (TCMC) on Pine Street. This work-in-progress building is already an impressive structure; but that’s not the story. The story here is in the future of health care in Northeastern Pennsylvania and the enormous impact this institution will have.
If you have anyone in your family or close circle of friends with a major illness or cancer, your immediate thoughts turn to Doctors or a Hospitals outside the area. If you do your homework, you’ll find the key elements in selecting a Doctor is their Board Certifications and their involvement in research or teaching. Maintaining a Certification requires continuing education. Researchers and teachers are on the leading edge of medicine, and the latest modalities or surgical techniques. They collaborate with others in their specialty locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
The Commonwealth Medical College has a very bright future here, and because of TCMC, the future of health care in Northeastern Pennsylvania is even brighter.
