Recently, Highland Associates had a fantastic opportunity to present for a very prestigious corporate office project. Our team presented several case studies of just completed office projects. We discussed how our approach to programming and design sharply differed from one to the other. This can be loosely attributed to each company’s individual corporate culture. From client to client and market to market each project presents unique project goals, resulting in unique project solutions. In my years of design, I have seen a common theme that each client, sometimes unknowingly, requests…. flexibility.
It is no secret that we live in an every changing world and the work place is forced to adapt along with it. Why? Technology changes at lightning speed, market competition pressures companies to evolve and adapt their products, services and processes, we witnessed the economy spark drastic changes in the workplace, the recognition by many companies of the productivity benefit of telecommuting, and the list goes on, and on, and on.
Helping our clients prepare for the inevitable evolution in their work place, is what we do every day, whether it is for an office, hospital, school, retail environment, or other. Change is inevitable they say… and we’re ready.
How ironic that I would stumble upon this article on CNN.com right around the same time! Read and enjoy.
