
Highland Associates has developed a design for renovation of 120,000 square feet in the 232,000 square foot High School.
Grades 9-12 are housed in the facility which will accommodate 1,250 students. The total project cost is estimated at
$4.5 million.
New classrooms and labs for consumer science, living center and technical education have been designed within the
existing facility along with new suites for administration and nursing. General renovations and upgrades to finishes
included corridors, toilet rooms, kitchen, auditorium, locker rooms and the swimming pool area. A rescue aid project
for life safety issues was completed in the same time frame.
The site has been restructured in conjunction with the new K-8 facility, adjacent to the High School property.
Exterior work included pavement, curbs and walks, a new receiving dock, roof and masonry repairs.
The project was completed in August of 2003. Construction cost was $4,234,000, $300,000 under budget.
