Highland Associates developed a design for a 287,000 square foot Elementary and Middle School. Grades K-8 are
implemented into one facility which accommodates 1600 students. The completed construction came in $4 million
under the $36 million budget.
The site is adjacent to the existing high school. Site features include recreational areas for the K-8 Facility
and baseball, soccer, lacrosse, softball and utility fields for shared use with the High School.
The completed facility includes 72 classrooms, computer and science labs, and band & chorus rooms for musical
education. Several special education rooms are incorporated as well as speech rooms to allow a close student/teacher
relationship. The cafetorium serves as a cafeteria with dining facilities that can be quickly converted into an
auditorium with seating. Complete administrative, nursing suites, and faculty spaces are provided.
