Highland Associates provided Engineering services for this Emergency Department and Radiation Oncology
Expansion/Renovation:
• 23,000 Square Foot Addition
• 11,200 Square Foot Renovation
Radiation Oncology area includes a linear accelerator suite, Simulator Room and all related support areas
totaling 7,000 square feet of new construction.
Emergency Department includes a new ambulance entrance, Trauma Room, (24) Acute and Sub-Acute Patient Areas,
Nurse's Stations, Waiting, Triage, Registration and Related Support Areas. This area totals 27,200 square
feet of new and renovated construction.
The project was designed in 1999 and was bid in July of 1999. Construction was started in August of 1999 and
the final phases completed in December of 2000.
The overall cost of construction was $6,800,000 plus an additional $1,500,000 for hospital equipment costs.
