Highland Associates was commissioned to implement the renovations and additions designs proposed in the Penn State
University Master Plan. The project design was developed in two phases with Phase I including a three story addition
to house a new entrance lobby, elevator core, bookstore, workrooms and administrative offices. Phase I also involved
relocating the Bookstore, expanding the kitchen, servery in the dining hall, and constructing new recreation and
meeting rooms.
Phase II included a two story addition to house a dining room and multi-purpose spaces, as well as renovations to the
existing dining area. The existing office areas and lavatories in Lares were also renovated.
