Highland Associates provided full architectural and engineering services for this 193,000 square foot Web hosting data center. This was an extremely fast track project with a design schedule of approximately 20 weeks and a construction schedule of 12 months. Due to the amount of infrastructure equipment, this project demanded a very coordinated commissioning team to complete. The project was completed under budget.
The breakdown of occupied spaces were as follows: (5) floors, 25,000 SF each for a total of 125,000 SF of Data Center. The Basement and Ground Floor, 25,000 SF each for a total of 50,000 SF contained the MEP infrastructure and common office space. There were (2) floors for a total of 34,000 SF of generic Office Space, and Lobby. The major MEP systems were designed as follows:
• 480V Electrical Service - 10MW Spot Network
• UPS Systems - 5.76MW consisting of Two (2) System each 2.88MW,
Block Redundant
• EPG System - 6MW, N+1 Redundant with (6)- 2000KW Diesel Generators.
• Chiller Water System - 2100 Ton, N+1 Redundant
• Extensive Environmental and Electrical Monitoring
