This traditional Hampton Bays waterfront retreat was built in a Hollywood 1930s style for a young Wall Street executive. The house was completely renovated from top to bottom. A 1,500 sq. ft. addition was built to house an enormous “cook’s kitchen”. Rich, modern materials were intermixed with the traditional “bones” into a soothing, modern environment. Highland Associates worked with a noted interior designer who selected an eclectic mix of old and new furniture and artwork. All new MEP systems including a radiant heated sunroom were designed and implemented. The landscape design was integrated with the retreat by a now world renown landscape architect. The project was featured in Hampton’s Cottages and Gardens Magazine.
