Highland Associates was chosen to provide MEP engineering design services for the 9th floor fit-out project at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital's French Street Medical Office Building. The fit-out is approximately 3,000 square feet, consisting of the hospital's main board room, reception area, executive conference room, president and administrative offices as well as restroom facilities.

New space mounted heat pumps were provided to serve the entire renovated floor plan. The new HVAC equipment connects to the existing condenser water piping system. Plumbing services included water, sanitary waste, and sanitary vent. Fire protection design involved the removal of the existing upright heads and modify branch piping to meet the new ceiling mounted head option. The electrical system was designed to include normal power, emergency power, lighting, specialty lighting, data/telecommunications, audio/visual, fire and security.

This highly visible space serves many user groups including hospital administration, physicians, clinicians and visitors.
