An advertising and marketing giant, born out of Austin, Texas, T3 – the Think Tank – opened a new office at 126 Fifth Avenue in New York City, where it continues to “Think, Create and Integrate.” Highland Associates, a full service Architectural, Engineering, Interior Design firm in New York City, provided full Architectural and Engineering services for this 8,000 SF space, designing an office with a reception area, three multimedia conference rooms, offices, workstations and a staff kitchen and café.
The reception area, the ‘home’ of any office, resonates the traditional Texan roots of T3 with a floor to ceiling aluminum replica of the company’s name – T3 – standing solid and stable between the reception and main work areas. Passing through this structure into the main work area, the superiority of this advertising and marketing agency is evident.
Lined with windows overlooking the urban sites of Fifth and Madison Avenues, the shell of the office is naturally transparent. Principal Architect Glenn Leitch of Highland Associates, assimilated this transparent quality in the design of the office, merging the activity and view of the outside urban environment with the office space, creating a dynamic flow of energy. Glass walled offices and conference rooms make the view available to all the T3 staff, and low height workstation partitions keep the space open and flowing, promoting a team environment. Lively accents such as “digitized” carpet tile, strategically patterned to simulate motion, and bright colored paint, highlighting selected walls, add depth and vibrancy to the solid white office.
